Yellowstone and Beyond

There is no way to sum up a park like Yellowstone. It would take at least a full season to see the attractions that are official, then there are so many springs and back country tracks to explore, you could make a lifetime out of exploring the area. As a tourist though, we stuck to … Continue reading Yellowstone and Beyond

The Last of The Oregon Leg

So the Oregon leg of our trip is finally ending, and that is of course a mixed bag. We need to make our way across this big ‘ol country so we can see the northeast before things get cold. At the same time, Oregon has so much more to see. We are already nixing Washington, … Continue reading The Last of The Oregon Leg

More on Oregon

Hello all, I didn’t get this finished in time to make it into our weekly email, but here is is just the same. We’re in Coos Bay, Oregon at the moment, about to run up the coast, across to Eugene, then to the Bend, OR area for a few days of exploring. Klamath Falls certainly … Continue reading More on Oregon

First Week on the Road

Well here we are, Saturday and day 05 of our adventure. Things changed before they began. Due to the heat we decided to run up the coast to Eureka. Sunsets in the desert are always dramatic, but when you find water in the desert things get even more surreal. Page, Arizona is such a place. #2h1hz
Our attempt over the Sierras was met with a lot of closed roads, but we still had it better than the Donner Party by a wide measure. Heater works, roads were easy to follow, and the truck is slightly better than a pack mule. #2h1hz
Got to meet the shop cat at Hackberry General Store on Route 66. Lots of old memorabilia and vintage cars to see too, of course. #2h1hz #route66 #👊✊🌎
More of "Kate looking at things," here is the Grand Canyon. #2h1hz
More in my series of "Kate looking at things." Here she is meeting some street art, seeing an old Pueblo cliff village, and searching for a hot springs across a bridge in Colorado. #2h1hz #👊✊🌎
Happy belated birthday to the bigger heart.
