I’m always looking for fun outdoor places to escape to. During the summer anywhere I can see the sunshine and go for a swim is a definite plus. I’m excited to check out the (fairly) local swimming holes I read about in this article! While I’ve explored rivers In Nor Cal including ones mentioned in the article, It looks like someone has done the research and put together a collection of where to find the very best swimming spots along them. I’ll definitely be using this as reference on my next trip, these all look like real gems.
I want to mention a favorite local swimming hole of mine that did not make the list, The Ink Wells. A great place for anyone close to Marin County to grab some friends and spend the afternoon swimming, lounging in the sun, and jumping in the deep pools from the nearby bridge or rocks.
