Welcome to 2hearts1horizon, the virtual home for the traveling duo of John and Kate. We enjoy sharing our adventures with each other so much, it seemed natural to create this space so we could share with everyone, via our journal and social media.

Currently, we are shoving everything into storage and making a home out of our Honda Goldwing sidecar outfit. This site will chronicle the adventure authentically, showing the gorgeous landscapes as well as the grimy gas stations. We’ll show the perfect sunsets as well as the mosquito bites, bathing in freezing rivers, and sweating long hours in the sun. Adventure means taking it all in, so why not share it all?

Stay In Touch

To stay in touch we recommend subscribing to our weekly digest and following us on our social media accounts, or searching for our hashtag, #2h1hz. Besides travelogues and photos, we also share others stories, tech/gear reviews, camping/hiking info, roadside oddities, and the like. Our goal is to connect to the network of other travelers out there and share information and stories: not just talk about ourselves.

So search around our site and make yourself comfortable. We look forward to sharing a world of adventure with you.

Sunsets in the desert are always dramatic, but when you find water in the desert things get even more surreal. Page, Arizona is such a place. #2h1hz
Our attempt over the Sierras was met with a lot of closed roads, but we still had it better than the Donner Party by a wide measure. Heater works, roads were easy to follow, and the truck is slightly better than a pack mule. #2h1hz
Got to meet the shop cat at Hackberry General Store on Route 66. Lots of old memorabilia and vintage cars to see too, of course. #2h1hz #route66 #👊✊🌎
More of "Kate looking at things," here is the Grand Canyon. #2h1hz
More in my series of "Kate looking at things." Here she is meeting some street art, seeing an old Pueblo cliff village, and searching for a hot springs across a bridge in Colorado. #2h1hz #👊✊🌎
Happy belated birthday to the bigger heart.
